Harvest of Joy: Early Years celebrates Makar Sankranti
On January 14th, our Kindergarten corridors blossomed into a vibrant celebration of Makar Sankranti and India’s diverse harvest festivals. Our youngest learners set off on a joyful cultural journey, discovering the unique traditions of Bihu, Lohri, Pongal, and Uttarayan.
Through collaborative art activities, students created intricate collages that beautifully reflected the rich heritage of different regions of India. Joyful giggles echoed in the air as our little ones joyfully practiced the art of kite flying, embracing the true spirit of the season.
Back in the classrooms, the warmth of togetherness continued as children shared Yellu Bella, learning the values of friendship, gratitude, and harmony.
It was truly a day of joyful discovery — where our “smallest artists” expressed a heartfelt “thank you” to nature and celebrated the abundance that unites us all.
