Helios 2025: Igniting Innovation at NPS Koramangala

On July 10th and 11th, National Public School, Koramangala hosted the 8th edition of Helios, its annual inter-school hackathon. Ten teams tackled real-world challenges under the themes of sustainability and financial technology. The event opened with an inspiring keynote by Mr. Vikram Malhotra, IBM, who urged students to lead with purpose, adaptability, and ethics.

Participants developed impactful, user-centric solutions, supported by expert mentorship and judged across innovation, completeness, effectiveness, and impact by IBM professionals Mr. Manjit Singh Sodhi and Mr. Mohammed Jawahar Hussain. Mr. Hussain also addressed students on technology’s evolving role in future careers, encouraging passion, consistency, and purpose.

Highlights included powerful presentations—from carbon-footprint trackers to financial aid tools. NPS International Mysore won top honours with Ecosys, followed by NPS INR’s Money Master. Principal Ms. Jyotsna Nair applauded the participants’ creativity and urged them to keep innovating with empathy and intent.
