Graduation Ceremony 2026
The Graduation Ceremony for the twenty-first batch of Grade 12 students of NPS Koramangala was held on 7th February 2026, marking a memorable milestone in their academic journey. The evening unfolded as a graceful blend of reflection and celebration, filled with warm blessings, fond memories of friendships, and evocative musical moments that together created a truly memorable experience.
Ms. Anupama Hoskere, Padmashree awardee, the Chief Guest for the day, brought grace, distinction, and quiet grandeur to the ceremony as a celebrated puppeteer, international performer, Erasmus Mundus scholar, Ministry of Culture Fellow, and Festival Director devoted to India’s cultural heritage. Enhancing the event’s splendour were the esteemed presences of Vice-Chairperson and Director of the NPS Educational Institutions, Dr. Bindu Hari, CEO Mr. Hari Krishnan, Mentor Principal of NAFL and NPS Educational Institutions Ms. Indira Jayakrishnan, and Principal Ms. Jyotsna Nair.
As parents arrived, they were welcomed with a nostalgic montage showcasing cherished moments of the graduating batch, from their early years to senior school, evoking both pride and sentiment. The ceremony commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp, accompanied by a melodious invocation, Saraswati Vandana, by students from Grades 7–9, setting a serene tone for the evening.
The Chief Guest’s message to the batch was rooted in Indian philosophy and culture, emphasising selfless giving, ethical living, and self-discovery. Drawing wisdom from the epics, the Upanishads, and the idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, she urged students to seek purpose, happiness, and inner growth.
The Vice Chairperson, Dr. Bindu Hari, also delivered an inspiring address to the outgoing batch, encouraging them to build social currency through humility, trust, and calm leadership, while embracing diverse journeys and giving back to society as they shape their own meaningful brand. Dr. Hari wished the students a future brimming with success. The dignitaries then presented mementoes to the 91 graduands, celebrating their achievements.
In her address, Principal Ms. Jyotsna Nair fondly commended the Class of 2026 and drew wisdom from world luminaries such as Leonardo da Vinci and Pythagoras, sharing key life lessons and simple promises while emphasising self-discipline, hard work, empathy, integrity, and staying connected with one’s parents.
The ceremony continued with the principal’s ceremonial declaration as students moved their tassels from right to left, signifying their transition to becoming graduands. Representing the parent fraternity, Ms. Roopa Vishwanath reflected on the journey from the early years to senior secondary, expressing gratitude for the school’s nurturing, holistic environment and the teachers’ dedication in shaping confident, independent individuals. Sahana Srivatsan and Simrun Kaushik from the graduating batch shared heartfelt memories, expressing gratitude for the values and skills instilled in them by the school. The Covenant, solemnly read by the School Prefect, Raahil Prakash, reminded students of their responsibilities and their pledge to uphold the values learned during their schooling.
The evening’s musical highlights featured a soulful performance by the graduands, with Grade 12 students Adwait Ranade and Samarth Umashankar on the tabla, Shubhang Kuttan on the keyboard, and Rajit Pai on the violin, performing Garaj Garaj in Raag Megh Malhaar.
The Candle Lighting Ceremony, symbolising the transfer of knowledge, was followed by the rousing notes of the school song Reach Out, Reach High, Reach Beyond. The farewell concluded with the mellifluous rendition of Let’s Get Together Again by the school choir led by the music teachers, adding a celebratory close to the scintillating event. After the National Anthem, attendees dispersed to enjoy the remainder of the evening on the school grounds.
