Investiture Ceremony 2025-2026

A celebration of leadership and excellence, the Investiture and Prize Day 2025 was held at NPS Koramangala on 25th June 2025. It was a momentous occasion honouring merit and bestowing authority on young leaders. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Reijul Sachdev—alumnus from the batch of 2012, author, poet, and researcher at IIIT Bangalore—graced the event alongside the Principal Ms. Jyotsna Nair. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp, accompanied by a soulful prayer rendered by students of Grades 6–12.

Mr. Sachdev, a former school topper, Science Club President, and lead of the school band, recalled his time at NPS as the best years of his life. Battling schizophrenia for years, his presence was deeply motivational. With humour and heartfelt candour, he shared his journey of resilience, emphasizing the power of support from family, friends, and the medical community.

He felicitated the top achievers of the Grade 10 and 12 Board Exams 2025. The highlight of the day was the investiture of the newly elected Student Council 2025–26. Eighty-three deserving students received their prestigious golden badges from the Guest of Honour, Principal Ms. Jyotsna Nair, and Senior Coordinator Ms. Pramila Menon. A spirited dance performance, Kaaliya Mardanam, by Grade 8 students brought alive the theme of good triumphing over evil. In her address, Ms. Satyadeep Shetty reflected on the essence of leadership, citing inspiring figures such as Ratan Tata and Chairman K. P. Gopalkrishna.

An invigorating choral rendition of The Climb by students of Grades 6–12 set the tone for the ceremonial handover of flags—School, Sports, and House—to the new leaders. The Principal passed on this symbolic responsibility to the newly appointed student heads.

Taking the oath on behalf of the council, newly elected School Prefect Rahil Prakash pledged to uphold the school’s values with sincerity and teamwork. In his first address, he expressed gratitude for the nurturing environment provided by the school and vowed to promote unity and inclusivity.

The presence of alumni added a charming warmth to the whole occasion and as per the tradition, on behalf of the batch of 2024-25, the last year’s School Prefect- Rakshak Jain, Sports Captain- David Allen Louis and President Dramatics Club- Ranvit Bahirwani presented a token of their gratitude to their alma mater. The celebration ended with the singing of the national anthem.
