Kannada Rajyothsava, 2022

ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನನ ಕಲಿಯೋಣ,
ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನನ ಬೆಳೆಸೆ ೋಣ
ಕನ್ನಡದ ದೋವಿಗೆಯನ್ನನ ಹಚ್
ಚಿ ನ್ಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನನ ಬೆಳಗಿಸೆ ೋಣ

Kannada Rajyothsava was celebrated on 4th November 2022 for the very first time in full grandeur and splendour, covering the canopy of National Public School, Koramangala in yellow and red. A grand and cute little programme was organised by the students of grades 1-6 under the guidance of their Kannada teachers. The programme began with the state anthem, Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate followed by a tour showing the culture and heritage of such a wonderful state. The stage was adorned with children dressed as the 8 Jnanapitha awardees. The show also took us on a journey showing ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಏಕೋಕರಣ (Unification of Karnataka). This was followed by a dance performance to the famous kannada song Hachevu Kanadada Deepa.

The audience also witnessed the various folk dances of Karnataka such as Kamsale, Suggi kunita, Huli vesha, Dollu kunita and Kolata. The programme ended with the song “Barisu Kannada Dimdimava”. The principal Mrs. Jyotsna Nair addressed the gathering and the auditorium reverberated with the slogan Jay Karnataka!

Kannada Rajyothsava was thus celebrated and as the saying goes-

ಎಲ್ನಾದರು ಇರು, ಎಂತನದರು ಇರು
ಎಂದ ಂದಿಗೂ ನೀ ಕನ್ನಡವನಗಿರು
ಕನ್ನಡವ ೀ ಸತ್ಯ, ಕನ್ನಡವ ೀ ನತ್ಯ
