Reopening Day 2026-2027
The new academic year 2026–27 began on a cheerful and enthusiastic note as students of Grades 1–8 returned to school on 3 June 2026. The Principal, Ms. Jyotsna Nair warmly welcomed the students, while noting that the academic session for Grades 9–12 had already commenced on 25 May 2026. The assembly began with a series of humorous and relatable memes that served as an engaging icebreaker, drawing laughter from the students and setting a positive tone for the day.
In her address, the principal appreciated the students’ participation in the Summer Reading Programme, encouraging them to continue cultivating the habit of reading and maintaining records of the books they read. She also shared the school’s outstanding Grade 10 and Grade 12 board examination results, inspiring students to strive for excellence.
Highlighting the school’s commitment to holistic development, the principal introduced various academic, co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities available to students. These included a Scientific Research Programme, a newly launched Robotics Club, and a range of activities in music and sports. Students were encouraged to enrol in programmes that matched their interests and aptitudes.
The principal also gave a glimpse of the exciting events planned for the year, including Environment Day celebrations, Pravaha 2026 – the University Fair, and several other enriching events. Success stories of students during the summer break were shared, and students and teachers with 100% attendance were felicitated.
The address concluded with two thought-provoking videos conveying the importance of understanding people beyond first impressions and using one’s success to make a positive difference in society. The principal summed up the address by extending her best wishes for a productive and fulfilling academic year.
