Preksha- A celebration of music, culture and togetherness!
“Music is not just heard; it is felt, cherished, and remembered.”
The Primary Section of National Public School, Koramangala, came alive with music, rhythm and cultural vibrancy on 1 August, as students of Grades 1 to 3 presented Preksha, a celebration of music, diversity and togetherness.
The programme took the audience on a captivating journey across eight languages and diverse musical traditions, featuring an evocative Arabic lullaby, vibrant African and Malay renditions, and lively Kannada folk music. Grade 3’s rendition of “Love Song to the Earth” conveyed a meaningful message of unity, gratitude and care for our planet.
The celebration was enriched by a graceful dance recital celebrating the Queens of India, a melodious band performance, and songs prepared under the guidance of SAPA (Subramaniam Academy of Performing Arts), reflecting the students’ musical growth, confidence and teamwork.
The vibrant costumes, expressive choreography and enthusiastic performances created a memorable fusion of music, dance and cultural storytelling. The evening culminated in the inspiring grand finale, “This Is My Fight Song,” celebrating resilience, determination and self-belief.
Preksha was a celebration of music, culture and unity in diversity, made memorable by the dedication of the students, guidance of the teachers, support of SAPA, and encouragement of parents.
Through every note, rhythm and performance, Preksha beautifully demonstrated the power of music to transcend boundaries and connect hearts.
