Grade 10 - Visit to U. R. Rao Satellite Centre

On July 4th, five Grade 10 students from NPSKRM accompanied by Ms. Vishu Nair, embarked on a truly extraordinary journey to the U. R. Rao Satellite Centre (URSC) in Bengaluru. The occasion was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness and participate in a live student interaction with Group Captain Shubhanshu “Shux” Shukla, then aboard the International Space Station (ISS), and Astronaut Designate Angad Pratap.

As the students walked along the stately corridors, they glimpsed the offices of ministers and cabinet members before proceeding to the Legislative Assembly Hall (Vidhan Sabha) and the Legislative Council Hall (Vidhan Parishad). Officials explained the roles of the two Houses and the features that make each chamber unique. The visit proved both enlightening and memorable, students with a providing first-hand experience of the functioning of the state government and the bicameral legislative system whilst also enabling them to appreciate the building’s architectural and historical significance, thus enriching and extending their classroom learning.
