Grade 7 fieldtrip - St. Joseph's
Students of Grades 7 A, B, and C visited St. Joseph's Commerce College on 25-02-26 for an educational field trip, where they witnessed two spectacular plays in Hindi and Kannada. The Kannada play was based on Shree Ramayana Darshanam, the renowned work of Kuvempu, popularly known as Rashtrakavi Kuvempu. The exceptional dialogue delivery, authentic costumes, impressive sound effects, captivating background score, and brilliant lighting left both students and teachers mesmerized.
Prof. Lavakumar addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of theatre and explaining various types of drama and their relevance in contemporary times. He conducted an impromptu image drama session, encouraging students to think creatively and express themselves through body language and emotions. The students participated enthusiastically, demonstrating excellent engagement and teamwork. His valuable tips on voice modulation, stage presence, and expressive acting greatly enhanced their understanding of theatrical performance.
A mime performance by a student was particularly remarkable and left the audience speechless.
The visit concluded with a meeting with Principal Fr. Lasrado and a photo session. Overall, the trip was an enriching and enjoyable learning experience for all.
