Children's Day Celebration, 2022

The Children’s Day 2022 @NPS Koramangala was a tribute to our first Prime Minister Pt. Nehru and a celebration of childhood. The special day gave every reason for children to enjoy and feel privileged by their school.

For the most part of the day, students from Grades 6-12, watched the exhilarating inter-house events like Western and Classical Dance, Dramatics, and Music competitions. High in entertainment quotient, each event displayed amazing creativity, team coordination, and artistic skills. The efforts put in planning, rehearsing, and organising these enthralling events by participating teams were well paid off as the auditorium reverberated with the applause of the audience.

The later part of the day was saved for the teachers’ performance which the students eagerly look forward to throughout the year. Teachers from Primary Years regaled everyone with melodious Ganesh Vandana and folk dances, in traditional attire, from different parts of the country. Similarly, the teachers from Elementary Years and Senior Years had performances on medleys of Bollywood chartbusters. A humorous skit ‘Potpourri’ showing a slice of teachers’ work life had children in splits. English tracks ‘Chasing the Sun’ and ‘We will Rock You…’ were enormously loved. A surprise element, Akkas’ and Bhaiyyas’ (support staff) rhythmic dance performance received a standing ovation from the frenzied audience. A befitting finale to this beautiful day was ‘South Dhamaka’, a medley of electrifying performances of trending Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada numbers. And this is how the day transitioned into ineffaceable memories of golden school days.
