Yoga and Music Day 2019

The dulcet notes of Om Sahanavavtu drifted, encompassing, tranquilizing the spirit and the mind; the euphonious rhythmic syllables of Tillana (a rhythmic piece of Carnatic music) by Sri LalgudiJayaraman in raga Sindhubhairavi transfused the listeners with joy; the artwork of yogic asanas on the canvas of body, splashed with colours of melody made an immaculate blend on 5th International Yoga Day and World Music Day at NPS Koramangala. The young lithe bodies twisting, gyrating to the high and lows of symphonies were a flawless tribute to the divine and our rich yogic and musical heritage. Students of grades 2 to 12 showcased and inspired everyone through an assortment of yoga moves in sync with sweetness of music transcending boundaries of genres, religion and nations.
