Handing Over Ceremony, 2020-21

The most important event marking the culmination of all events of the academic year 2020-21, the Handing Over ceremony, was live streamed on the 13th of March 2021. The unusual year that 2020-21 was, brought innumerable challenges, however, (in the words of principal Ms. Jyotsna Nair), ‘together we did the unthinkable, unconceivable and the improbable’. The student council that handed over the baton of responsibility to their juniors, didn’t just complete a ritual but passed on a precedent of victoriously rising above the unsurpassable.

The talented students of grade 7-8 and 11 presented melodious songs, dance and instrumental music. Vice Chairperson, Dr. Bindu Hari applauded the leaders and the students for their active and healthy participation in all events.

The School Prefect and the Captains physically handed over the ceremonious flags to their juniors in the school premises, before the live streamed event. In her address, the School Prefect Anika Khandekar, took pride in her able team of School Council members who spectacularly conducted a wide range of activities and competitions in online mode.

Highlighting the qualities of a true leader, Principal Ms. Jyotsna Nair, congratulated the student council on rising above all odds. She also declared the ‘Best Outgoing Student’ of the year 2020-21, which went to the School Prefect, Anika Khandekar. Vice Prefect, Muskaan Mathur wrapped the programme with by proposing the vote of thanks.
